The University of Guam Chemistry Club’s fundamental purposes is to serve as a social means to help members acquire the necessary motivation to pursue higher education in the sciences and acquire the proper leadership and interpersonal skills and positive attitude that will help them better interact with future colleagues and become productive members of the community.
For this purpose, we wanted to collaborate with the University of Guam Endowment Foundation to help raise funds for existing College of Natural and Applied Sciences (CNAS) scholarships. Higher education in STEM is important, and raising funds for these scholarships can help ease the burden of tuition.
This year, to help raise funds, we have created a long-sleeve t-shirt with the phrase “Keep It Equilibrium.” Which essentially means to keep it (life) balanced. This phrase reminds all students that though our studies can be overwhelming, don’t forget to take care of your life outside of academia. Keep your school and personal life balanced because your grades and health are essential. With every shirt purchase, we will donate 10% of the proceeds to the Endowment Foundation to give to existing CNAS scholarships.
