The Carbullido Family Endowed Fund is a testament to the Carbullido family’s ongoing commitment to the School of Education (SOE) and its long-term success. Established with the future in mind, this endowment was created to ensure the continued maintenance of SOE facilities. Safe and secure facilities are essential for the future development of the School of Education, and providing high-quality programs and resources for students for generations to come. Peer Mentor Scholarship
The Bernadita T. Carbullido Peer Mentor Scholarship program is sponsored by the
School of Education (SOE) at the University of Guam to support students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to mentoring their peers. This scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to students who serve as
Peer Mentors, helping their fellow students succeed in their academic journey.Â
This scholarship is open to Elementary Education majors at UOG who meet the academic and service criteria outlined below.Â
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must:
- Be fully admitted into the School of Education at the University of Guam.Â
- Be pursuing a major in Elementary Education.Â
- Be enrolled full-time (minimum of 12 credits) in the semester of the award.Â
- Have a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 as of Fall Semester 2025.Â
- Have successfully completed ED384-70 (Student Academic & Counselor Training) or an equivalent course.Â
- Have passed the Praxis Core exam, as required for SOE admission.Â
- Commit to serving as a Peer Mentor for at least 10 hours per week during the semester.Â
- Assist mentees with LiveText and portfolio completion as part of their SOE admission requirements.Â
- Conduct weekly Praxis preparation sessions (2-hour study sessions) using 240 Tutoring to help students prepare for their exams.Â
- Demonstrate a desire to excel in the field of education and contribute to the success of other students.Â
- Adhere to the University of Guam’s Code of Conduct and demonstrate professionalism, leadership, and strong communication skills.Â
**Past Peer Mentor Scholarship recipients are not eligible.
Scholarship funds will be issued directly to the University on behalf of the recipient to offset the cost of tuition, fees, and books.Â

Complete and submit the electronic Scholarship Application Form, including all required supporting documents, by 5:00 p.m. February 27, 2026.Â

Student Teaching Scholarship
The Bernadita T. Carbullido Student Teaching Scholarship program is sponsored by the School of Education (SOE) at the University of Guam to support student teachers who demonstrate academic excellence, dedication to teaching, and a commitment to completing their student teaching requirements. This scholarship provides financial assistance to students during their student teaching semester, allowing them to focus on their professional preparation.Â
This scholarship is open to Elementary Education majors at UOG who meet the academic and service criteria outlined below.Â
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must:Â
- Be fully admitted into the School of Education at the University of Guam.Â
- Be pursuing a major in Elementary Education.Â
- Be enrolled in the Student Teaching course (ED492) during the semester of the award.Â
- Have a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 as of Fall Semester 2025.Â
- Have passed the Praxis Core and Praxis Subject Assessments, as required for student teaching.Â
- Commit to fulfilling all student teaching requirements, including lesson planning, classroom instruction, and professional development activities.Â
- Demonstrate a desire to excel in the field of education and contribute to the success of students in the classroom.Â
- Adhere to the University of Guam’s Code of Conduct and demonstrate professionalism, leadership, and strong communication skills.Â
**Past Student Teaching Scholarship recipients are not eligible.
