Making Waves 🌊: Six UOG Students Carry Jimmy’s Legacy Forward 💙

Since 2018, the More Like Jimmy Scholarship has invested nearly $100,000 in local students, carrying forward Jimmy Hall’s passion for sharks, adventure, and protecting our environment.

This year, six University of Guam students were awarded a combined $15,000 after submitting exceptional essays that showcased their dedication to marine life, environmental conservation, and serving their island communities.

🎓 Congratulations to our 2026 recipients:
• Ale’a Duenas — $4,000
• Nicolas Ubaldo — $3,000
• Jaedene Cabrera — $3,000
• Ella Escano — $2,000
• Amber Pineda — $2,000
• Sage Uchel — $1,000

Through these students, Jimmy’s adventurous spirit and love for our oceans continue to inspire the next generation of scientists and environmental advocates. 💙🌊
