Patricia L. Feore Awards First Single Parent & Child of Single Parent Scholarship to Two UOG Students

On Friday, March 13, 2026, the University of Guam and the UOG Endowment Foundation proudly celebrated the presentation of the Single Parent & Child of Single Parent Scholarship, established by Patricia L. Feore.

Two determined and persevering students, Tadashi Hiura and Kiara-Teryn Pangelinan, are the first recipients of the Single Parent & Child of Single Parent Scholarship, created by Ms. Feore to help lighten students’ burdens as they pursue higher education.

Having single handedly raised two children on her own, Ms. Feore understands the challenges and sacrifices single parent households face. It is her hope that recipients will remember this support as they pursue their goals and one day pay forward the blessings they have received, believing that even small acts of support can help make a tertiary education possible.
