This year of 2022, the University of Guam is celebrating its 70th anniversary as an institution of higher education! The theme for our Platinum Jubilee is “UOG: 70 Years of Transforming Lives and Advancing Communities.” We are relying on our Triton Family and friends of the University to help us celebrate and continue our vital mission.
Over the past 70 years, the University has conferred over 19,900 degrees to alumni who serve as professionals in Guam, the Micronesian Region, in the U.S. mainland and throughout the world. UOG has grown from a small territorial junior college offering courses for teachers to acquiring land grant status and emerging as a respected research university. The University has established community service activities throughout the region and sponsors or conducts nearly all of the research on Micronesian social, economic, scientific and political life.
As part of our celebration, we are launching our inaugural Annual Campaign – “Tritons Invest it Forward” to raise funds for programs, equipment, and operational expenses for these units in the University.
