The following is a list of scholarships that are available through the UOG Endowment Foundation.

Bernadita T. Carbullido Peer Mentor Scholarship
The Bernadita T. Carbullido Peer Mentor Scholarship program is sponsored by the
School of Education (SOE) at the University of Guam to support students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to mentoring their peers. This scholarship is designed to provide financial assistance to students who serve as
Peer Mentors, helping their fellow students succeed in their academic journey.
This scholarship is open to Elementary Education majors at UOG who meet the academic and service criteria outlined below.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must:Â
- Be fully admitted into the School of Education at the University of Guam.Â
- Be pursuing a major in Elementary Education.Â
- Be enrolled full-time (minimum of 12 credits) in the semester of the award.Â
- Have a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 as of Fall Semester 2025.Â
- Have successfully completed ED384-70 (Student Academic & Counselor Training) or an equivalent course.Â
- Have passed the Praxis Core exam, as required for SOE admission.Â
- Commit to serving as a Peer Mentor for at least 10 hours per week during the semester.Â
- Assist mentees with LiveText and portfolio completion as part of their SOE admission requirements.Â
- Conduct weekly Praxis preparation sessions (2-hour study sessions) using 240 Tutoring to help students prepare for their exams.Â
- Demonstrate a desire to excel in the field of education and contribute to the success of other students.Â

Bernadita T. Carbullido Student Teaching Scholarship
The Bernadita T. Carbullido Student Teaching Scholarship program is sponsored by the School of Education (SOE) at the University of Guam to support student teachers who demonstrate academic excellence, dedication to teaching, and a commitment to completing their student teaching requirements. This scholarship provides financial assistance to students during their student teaching semester, allowing them to focus on their professional preparation.
This scholarship is open to Elementary Education majors at UOG who meet the academic and service criteria outlined below.
Eligibility Criteria
The applicant must:Â
- Be fully admitted into the School of Education at the University of Guam.Â
- Be pursuing a major in Elementary Education.Â
- Be enrolled in the Student Teaching course (ED492) during the semester of the award.Â
- Have a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 as of Fall Semester 2025.Â
- Have passed the Praxis Core and Praxis Subject Assessments, as required for student teaching.Â
- Commit to fulfilling all student teaching requirements, including lesson planning, classroom instruction, and professional development activities.Â
- Demonstrate a desire to excel in the field of education and contribute to the success of students in the classroom.Â
- Adhere to the University of Guam’s Code of Conduct and demonstrate professionalism, leadership, and strong communication skills.Â
**Past Student Teaching Scholarship recipients are not eligible.
Scholarship funds will be issued directly to the University on behalf of the recipient to offset the cost of tuition, fees, and books.Â

Students MUST fill out the application form and email it to the UOG Endowment Foundation office at info@uogendowment.org.
Additional scholarships may be available through the UOG Financial Aid office. A list of those scholarships and their application processes can be found on their website.
- Students are encouraged to read the scholarship requirements carefully before applying to ensure their application is accurate and complete.
- All applications must be submitted with an official transcript (unless the scholarship(s) you are applying for accepts unofficial transcripts).
- If you were not enrolled at UOG the prior semester, an official transcript from the last educational institution you attended will suffice.
- Students who are applying for multiple scholarships are required to submit one official transcript.
- Be sure to read the eligibility requirements and the criteria for any supplemental materials required by the scholarship guidelines.

Scholarship Application FAQs
- Submissions will also be accepted via email by attaching the scholarship application form (available for download at the link below) to an email and submitting to info@uogendowment.org.
- For transcripts, you can submit a request online by going here: https://www.uog.edu/admissions/request-a-transcript.  Admissions and Records will email a copy of the official transcripts directly to the UOG Endowment Foundation.
- Students who are applying to more than one scholarship need only submit one (1) official transcript, but must have a separate application form/other additional materials for EACH scholarship they are applying for.
- Students are encouraged to CCÂ info@uogendowment.org in transcript request emails to admissions, to alert us that transcripts have been requested before the deadline date.
- If submitting supplemental materials via email, please indicate in body of email the student name and which scholarship(s) the materials are being submitted for.
- Some letters of recommendation writers may want to submit their letters directly to the UOG Endowment rather than through the student. They may do so by emailing their letter to info@uogendowment.org. Please have them indicate in the email header the name of the student and the name of the scholarship.

- Please note that due to a high volume of applications, we cannot send confirmation emails to every applicant upon receipt of transcript or application.Â
