The University of Guam School of Business and Public Administration (SBPA) and Pacific Islands Small Business Development Center Network (PISBDCN) are pleased to launch the region’s 1st Startup Weekend: Micronesia (SW Micronesia) to be held on Thursday, November 7 through Saturday, November 9, 2019 on the islands of Micronesia: Chuuk, CNMI, Guam, Kosrae, Palau, Pohnpei, and Yap.

SW Micronesia is a special edition of Google TechStars Startup Weekend Initiative that introduces and celebrates innovation throughout the Pacific Region. We’re excited to be launching this inaugural event and we hope that it will be a first in a series of annual events to follow.

Our vision is to introduce Startup Weekend, a global initiative of innovation and collaboration to stimulate the creation of business and economic activity in the islands of Micronesia: Chuuk, CNMI, Guam, Kosrae, Palau, Pohnpei, and Yap. We are proud to be a part of this type of entrepreneurial endeavor and we hope you will support our efforts to participate in this global movement.
